I. General
The Website Designer and Webmaster respects the privacy of every
individual who visits our Web sites, responds to advertisements or sends us
e-mail. This Privacy Statement outlines the information The Website Designer and
Webmaster will collect and how we will use that information. This Statement will
also instruct you on what to do if you do not want your personal information
collected or shared when you visit The Reaching The Community Websites, respond
to any Web-based advertisements or send us email.
II. Security
Any order forms on the web site is a PDF Form which must be printed and
filed out and sent by US Postal Mail and will arrive privately and
unaltered at the Higher Ground Baptist Church Office. This security prohibits
other companies and Web users from being able to access your information.
The Prayer Request form does not use any form handlers or SSL
technology and is sent via ordinary email and is therefore no more or less
secure than any other email you may send. The only difference is that this
form is sent to us as an attachment which requires additional freely available
software to open and read but is not considered any safer or more secure than
any other email.
III. Personally-Identifiable Information
The Website Designer and Webmaster will not collect any
personally-identifiable information about you (that is, your name, address,
telephone number, or email address) unless you provide it to us voluntarily.
The following are some examples of when The Website Designer and Webmaster may
require that you provide personally-identifiable information:
- To complete an online order for a product (when and if
online ordering become available) if you do not wish to complete an online
order form, we will always provide an option for you to complete an order by
printing and mailing the form as we do now or calling us.)
- When requesting a user name and password to access a
protected area of the web site or participate in discussions when and
if they become available
- To honor your request for more information about the Prayer
Ministry, Higher Ground Baptist Church, or other ministry.
- To Personally respond to your request for prayer if a
personal response is requested.
If you do not want your personally-identifiable information collected, please do
not submit it to us. You do not have to provide personal information to us to
submit a prayer request. If you have already submitted this information and
would like for us to remove it from our records, please contact us at the email
address listed at the bottom of this Statement. We will use reasonable efforts
to delete your information from our existing files.
When you do provide us with personally-identifiable information, we may use that
information in the following ways, unless stated otherwise:
- we may store and process that information to better
understand all visitors needs and how we can improve our website for all
visitors.
- we may use that information to contact you with
Newsletters, prayer request and announcements if you have previously
provided your permission and if a promotions or announcements are in your
interest.
- we may contact you if we have questions about a request you
made.
- Prayer Request that are received are routinely published in
our Weekly Watchmen Newsletter which is mailed to all Watchmen Members and
is downloadable from this website and will include your name and the nature
of your prayer request only. (telephone numbers, addresses or other
personally identifiable information provided for personal response are given
to Watchmen Members only and deleted from the newsletters available from the
website for your security and privacy) If you do not want your prayer
request published in the newsletter please let us know and we will honor
your request
The Website Designer and Webmaster will not sell personally-identifiable
information to third parties, use your information for marketing purposes, or
share information with anyone other than other watchmen or Church members
as needed to fulfill your request.
IV. Children
The Website Designer and Webmaster has no intention of collecting any
personally-identifiable information (that is, name, address, telephone number,
or email address) from individuals under 18 years of age. Where appropriate,
The Website Designer and Webmaster will specifically instruct children not
to submit such information on our Web site. If a child has provided us with
personally-identifiable information without the consent of a parent or guardian,
a parent or guardian of that child should contact us at the email address listed
at the bottom of this Statement if they would like this information deleted from
our records. We will use reasonable efforts to delete the child's information
from our existing files.
V. Non-Personally-Identifiable Information
Collected Automatically
In some cases, we may collect information about you that is not
personally-identifiable. Examples of this type of information include the type
of Internet Browser you are using, the type of computer operating system you are
using, and the domain name of the Web site and/or Internet Service Provider from
which you linked to our site.
Similar to personally identifiable information, we will not sell
non-personally-identifiable information to third parties. We may share
non-personally identifiable information with security or internet service

As outlined in Section III. of this Statement, we will only send email
Newsletters or announcements to you if you have previously provided your
permission for us to do so. Although many visitors tell us they appreciate
receiving notice of these carefully designed Newsletters and announcements, we
recognize the importance of providing you with choices. At any time, you may
unsubscribe from our e-mail list simply sending us an email to ReachingtheCommunity@charter.net.
informing us you no longer wish to receive email from us and we will honor your
request immediately.
VIII. Who to Contact
If you have submitted personally-identifiable information through The website,
(such as through an order form or Prayer Request Form or request for access to a
password protected site), and would like that information deleted from our
records, please contact us at our email address, ReachingtheCommunity@charter.net.
We will use reasonable efforts to delete this information from our existing
files ASAP.
